His parents admitted that he had been acting abnormally, most likely because he was on medication.

In January 2019, while demolishing shelves and coolers from the defunct No Frills Supermarket in Council Bluffs, Iowa, a group of laborers discovered something unexpected.

A former employee’s body was found trapped beneath several bookcases.

Later on, it came to light that Larry Ely Murillo-Moncada was the owner of the body.

Investigators surmise that he had climbed up on top of the coolers, something that workers frequently do when working shifts. But he was stuck when he slipped into an 18-inch opening between a cooler and the wall.

He had no way out because the compressor noise from the coolers probably drowned out any pleas for assistance.

Murillo-Moncada’s clothing at the time of his abduction matched the DNA found on his body, which was identified using the DNA of his parents.

Regretfully, the revelation supported his mother’s notion that he never left the grocery store.
